Anne Frank, pictured above, is well known from her diary, which opened a window for the world to know what it must have been like to hide in fear from the oppression which was ever present among Jews during the Holocaust. It also gives voice to the courage of ordinary non-Jews, who risked everything to help their fellow citizens survive.
But there were many other children who demonstrated resilience and bravery when put to the ultimate test. The audio clip below highlights some of their stories.
